Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub - American comedian, actress and activist Her birthplace was in the Soviet Union to Jewish parents and started her career as an actress as a young person shortly after moving to the United States. The appearances she made as Lily Adams in AT&T TV commercials from 2013 until 2016 - and now in 2020 - have made her famous. In addition to her commercial appearances, she was also a regular on the Yahoo! Screen science-fiction show Other Space (2015). She was also regularly featured on the NBC drama This Is Us 2016-2017. Vayntrub was also part of the cast as Squirrelgirl in Marvel Rising in 2018 following her appearance in the pilot TV series for New Warriors. Vayntrub is an Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic (USSR) native and an American Jew. At the age of two her parents and she moved to the U.S. as refugees to avoid antisemitism and settled in West Hollywood. The financial struggles of her family led to her acting in Mattel Barbie commercials from the age of 5. Vayntrub briefly attended Beverly Hills High School, however, she quit after her sophomore year, obtained an GED and then went to complete an Associate of Arts in Communication at the University of California, San Diego. She studied improv comedy with the Upright Citizens Brigade.
